Meet the Student Who Cleared the DNB Practical Exam

Hi friends, I’m Dr. Zainab Vora, and I have with me Dr. Sahithi, who has cleared her DNB practical exams. Congratulations Dr. Sahithi… tell us about yourself and your DNB journey.

So I’m Dr. Sahithi. I have done my MBBS from Ma Medical College, which is in Telangana… previously, I also got a chance to talk to ma’am for theory, and now I’m privileged to speak again after clearing my practicals.

Her Residency Journey: What She Learned Over 3 Years

The most important thing I felt was that there will be ups and downs every day in residency. We always concentrate on duties and rotas, but at the end of the day what matters is what you learned for that day.

Now that I have cleared the exams, I can say this, but I was also in the phase where I used to curse and get frustrated… but none of that matters once you come out successful. Enjoy the phase, take the positive things, stay connected with good people, and move forward.

Radiology Gets Better After Second Year

There will be moments where you question your decision or feel like quitting… but it gets better. Particularly in radiology, after the second year, things become easier because you start understanding everything yourself. First year and second year depend a lot on seniors, so emotions run high—but it gets better with time.

Long Cases Asked in the Exam
  • Case 1: Spondylodiscitis with pseudoaneurysm and a small rupture with active contrast extravasation.
  • Case 2: Dural metastasis—questions on whole-body metastasis (thyroid, prostate, breast, etc.).

Spotters were random, but here is where Conceptual Radiology truly helped

How Conceptual Radiology Helped Her Clear the Practical?
  • Most of the spotters I got were covered in the eConcetula app—maybe not exactly the same, but either in the spotter section or in the Image of the Day.
  • Whenever they gave a clue, I could connect it because I had seen similar images earlier.
  • This exposure came only because of Conceptual Radiology’s structured and repeated image-based teaching. It helped me identify patterns, recall sequences, and stay confident even in a tricky OSCE.
OSCE Experience

I was on the second day, and yes, the second-day OSCEs were tougher. But again, like ma’am said, the questions give clues—and I could pick them up because of the app’s style of teaching.

Conclusion

This is yet another moment that reinforces how powerful Conceptual Radiology’s teaching approach is. When students repeatedly say:

“Most of the exam spotters were already covered in the app.”

—it highlights the platform’s accuracy, consistency, and understanding of exam patterns.

Conceptual Radiology continues to help residents gain confidence, structure their preparation, and walk into exams with clarity.
